Installation & Synchronization

The FMS can be installed between the filler and seamer giving a reading unaffected by product loss in the seamer. The system can be implemented utilizing any of four different synchronization methods to assure that the correct bottles are being tracked through the system. Count Up/Count Down Gap Synchronization. The system sensors detect any sizable gap in the bottle flow when the bottles are in motion or when the filler/capper stops and starts. Each gap is used to resynchronize the system.

Sure Sync Marking System. The Sure Sync Marking System utilizes an invisible jet spray to code bottles from a specific filler valve or capper head at the outfeed of the capper. A sensor located on the Inspection Head is used to identify these coded bottles. This allows the system to maintain synchronization under the most adverse conditions.

Encoder Tracking. If the outfeed chain of the capper is synchronized with the capper output starwheel, the overall system will maintain synchronization . This method requires precise PLC control of the outfeed chain in order to ensure that it stays in sync with the capper at all speeds. In addition, there must be no bottle slippage between the capper discharge and the inspection/rejection station. Dynamic Sync Check. An actuation device on the filler is used to cause an under fill on a particular valve, usually valve number one. The FMS inspection system detects the under filled container and automatically synchronizes the system.
