The FMS monitors each valve from multiple perspectives:
Average Fill Point Data. Average fill point data displays the average fill level of each valve, ranging from the worst fill to the highest fill. This data is plotted relative to the average of all filler valves and can be used to identify malfunctioning valves. This information is only available on the RF system.
Long Term Average Fill Level. The long term average fill level feature displays the average fill point of all valves for the previous ten hours in six minute increments. This graph alerts the operator when the average fill level of the filler changes for any reason.
Histograms. For the first time ever, maintenance personnel can visually observe the actual filing characteristics of each valve on the filler. With experience, the histograms can be used as “diagnostic indicators” for valve repair, thus identifying specific valve problems and greatly reducing maintenance time. RF FMS's can identify specific valve problems before stopping the filler, thus reducing downtime by eliminating trial and error valve repair.
