Mechanical Engineer/Quality Assurance
A quality manager, also known as quality monitoring manager, is the main position involved in a QA job. To put it simply, this means that this person in charge of quality monitoring and assurance has to ensure that all products manufactured by the company are free from any flaws or errors and are of the highest quality.
A mechanical engineer is a person who plans, envisions and tests equipment such as machines, tools and engines. A mechanical engineer designs machines that use energy, such as inspection equipment or power tools creates prototypes of small parts that are used to make part of the machine. This person oversees the operations of mechanical products; investigate the feasibility of a piece of equipment's design, operation and performance, and makes recommendations on design modifications to stop system malfunctions.
Work Environment
The main function of ME/QA manager is to ensure the smooth progress from design to manufacturing and marketing products. He or she should understand the processes and then establish a rapport with the line staff to get the inside knowledge of the various processes involved, how they work and what could possibly go wrong at different steps. This would give him/her an insight of the maximum amount of work that can possibly be done in a single shift while keeping up the high standards of work.
Responsibilities
- This position requires an excellent all around Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing experience in the areas of Machine Shop, Assembly and complex electro/mechanical systems.
- This position will manage the entire Engineering Change(EO)processes, focusing most on design and design changes as related to functionality, quality, reliability, manufacturing efficiencies and cost. Will approve all EOs and discuss concept of change with the appropriate Product Engineer and Manufacturing Managers/Engineers.
- Work closely with the Designers, Manufacturing Managers and operators to review the present designs of our fabricated component design in regards to dimensioning, materials, functional concept and utilization to determine how the cost of the component can be reduced. This process will be performed at the assembly and systems level as well. Must understand that any proposed changes to a component/assembly must be reviewed in regards to non-obvious functional requirements - Some design criteria is not obvious and this criteria has been designed into the product for a specific reason.
- Review manufacturing processes within all of Manufacturing for opportunities to increase quality, reduce manufacturing time and reduce cost.
- Responsible for implementing the Single Platform Technology(SPT)concept into the design and manufacturing departments.
- Work closely with Design and Manufacturing to support the design of new products under the Single Platform Technology(SPT)concept. All new products must be design under the SPT concept. SPT concept to be reviewed as required.
- Responsible for the Failure Trend processes within the company, heads all Failure Trend meetings, takes all corrective action based on findings in the Failure Trend meetings, etc.
Other Basic Responsibilities
- To review business statistics.
- To determine and document any areas that may need improvement.
- Inspecting and sampling the entire manufacturing process.
- To review the current policies and improvise plans to improve upon the existing quality standards.
- To review and analyze the effectiveness of the modifications made.
- To ensure that all procedures within the company conform to health and safety regulations, financial policies and legislation such as equal opportunity.
- To educate the sales and marketing departments regarding the machine specs.
General Skills Required
ME/QA Manager plays a key role in the success of the company and must possess the following qualities:
- Effective communication and report writing skills.
- Good negotiation skills with customer-oriented attitude.
- Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details.
- Good leadership capabilities to lead projects to successful completion.
- Basic knowledge of applicable software to infer statistical data.
- Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering is required for this position.
- Must have a minimum of 12 years progressive experience in manufacturing.
Field Service Technician
Under general supervision from company guidelines, policies and practices, provides technical support in field to aid customers and resolve technical problems incurred in the installation or operation of company products. Activities are generally conducted with a high degree of independence and are virtually self-supervising. Consults with customer regarding pre- and post-installation problems. Conducts and coordinates start-up, cut-over and check-out activities on newly installed systems. May review customer equipment interface requirements. Works closely with design engineering in evaluating product performance and conducting field trials. Provides support in the conduct and performance of equipment/system acceptance testing following installation. May conduct technical seminars and training for customer or company personnel, as well as informal on-the-job training for other field service staff members and customers. May provide work leadership to lower level field service staff.
- Requires extensive travel time (70%) to customer locations. Must be able to lift heavy weights, hand tools and basic electronics, good customer service skills.
- Must have five or more years of related job experience, beverage industry preferred and excellent communication skills.
College: 2-year degree a must, 4-year degree desired

Product Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Oversees all product line activities and supports new product transition from R&D to manufacturing; also reviews quality assurance/test requirements. This includes verification of new software prior to production release.
- Provides technical support to manufacturing with product issues throughout the manufacturing process, including testing and verification of final product.
- Gathers and analyzes design input information to determine possible application and design adequacy. (EVR process)
- Provides support to Product Sales & Marketing Engineer (PSME), Sales & Marketing, and Field Service representatives for complex technical issues to produce expedient resolutions for customers.
- Reviews and approves all revisions to production drawings (EO process), as well as oversee and approve the release of new production drawings and PMA’s (Product Manager Approval Forms).
- Maintains product line document forms for EDS.
Requires physical mobility and stamina normally associated with a sustaining engineering project and’/ or product program management. Occasionally requires extended work hours and periods of prolonged mental and visual concentration for reading, data analysis, performance testing and preparation of reports. Requires travel to customer locations (domestic and international)
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience, and 5 years of applicable experience.

Electro-Mechanical Fabricator
Under general supervision, works from a variety of production blueprints, assembly layouts, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches and broad verbal instructions to perform complex, varied mechanical and Electro-mechanical assembly and fabrication operations. Utilizes a wide variety of hand and power tools to assemble and fabricate assemblies. Performs a variety of functional checkouts, often requiring the analysis and correction of malfunctions. May provide input to engineering/quality control regarding malfunction causes. Performs critical production calibrations and alignments of a mechanical nature to assure proper functional system operation. May verify final system completeness and operation to release for final inspection and shipping. May provide work leadership to others through assignment of work, review of progress, monitoring of results and instructions.
Experience and Training: Ability to read, write, and perform shop mathematics and measurements. Knowledge of Electro-mechanical systems. Requires 3 years of mechanical/Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
Shop Helper/Deburr/Machine Operator
Will train you in precision sheet metal fabrication or CNC machining as you learn on the job. Necessary requirements are basic tool skills, exceptional mechanical ability with previous mechanical experience, excellent math skills; good eye/hand coordination; enthusiasm; and a burning desire to learn. Learn to operate production machine tools such as drill or punch presses, power mills, brakes, shears, mills, lathes and similar power tools!

Press Brake Operator
Immediate full time opening for Press Brake Operator for setup and/or operate.
First shift – 6:00am-2:30pm, M-F. Minimum 5 years experience;

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints
- Work from blueprints, rough sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings and verbal instructions.
- Ability to envision objects three dimensionally
- Ability to use precision measuring devices such as, Calipers, Height Gage, Micrometer, etc.
- Knowledge of all tools and dies used in a job.
- Knowledge of sheet metal tolerances, bend reliefs, notches and tooling holes and solve basic bending problems.
- Proven ability to fix tapers on flanges and angle problems on parts.
- Excellent Blueprint reading skills.
- Must have all tools necessary to effectively perform assigned tasks.

CNC Machine Tool Programmer
This position will drive manufacturing improvement initiatives in a CNC machining environment. Must have experience in CAD/CAM-CNC programming for CNC mills, horizontal, vertical, multi-axis and CNC lathes, including live tooling and multi-axis. Must have hands-on experience setting up and running all of the above equipment. Must be familiar with current manufacturing technologies in these areas. Familiar with state of the art cutting tools, cutting fluids, and other tooling. Will be directly responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement of the manufacturing process, researching and proposing solutions and driving implementation in a timely manner. This is a hands-on position working closely with operators to achieve desired results. Will interface with other team members to build consensus and accomplish goals quickly. Will document setups and develop adjustment to routings. Ability to design fixtures and/or to design product components working from sketches or verbal instructions. Experience in a paperless manufacturing environment is a plus. Must have 5-10 years minimum experience programming, along with at least 10 years in a machine shop environment.
- Responsible for applying code, generating set up sheets, materials verification for parts, and ensures work assignments and methods for quality with the CAD file, applicable drawings and specifications.
- Bring to the attention of the Manager problems which affect the production / quality of the product.
- This includes notification of special tooling needs when applicable.
- Ensure accuracy of program, router, setup sheet and prints to provide a functionally and cosmetically sound part which can be manufactured.
- Assist in the development of the processes on each job.
- Support in the assistance of Quality Department by providing information necessary for the success of a part.
- Responsible to get notify Manager of issues that make the parts inefficient or non-conforming.
- Create all “print” MPI when applicable, including adding notes requested by the end user.
- Work from CAD files, blueprints, rough sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings and verbal instructions.
