Features

bulletSensor Mounting Bracket
The special mounting bracket will raise up if struck by a high lid, which prevents line jams and damage to the sensor.
bulletSensor Setup
The electromagnetic proximity sensor is attached to the FT-50 trigger raising mechanism, which is easily adjustable.
bulletSeparate Height Indicator
Allows for quick can change-overs.
bulletAutomatic Calibration
Initial calibration set-up automatically determines the settings for "Dud" Detection and saves production run set-up time.
bulletAdvanced Self-Diagnostics
The Advanced Self-Diagnostics feature reduces downtime by pinpointing faults and displaying them on the control panel.
bulletVariable Speed
The Dud Detector will operate from a stand still up to 2,000 containers per minute with no calibration or timing adjustments.

Benefits

bulletReduces Trade Complaints and Product Liability
The FS-80 IP can reliably detect containers that are improperly sealed, therefore reducing the chance of flat or spoiled product reaching the consumer and possible product liability costs.
bulletLow Maintenance
The electromagnetic sensor does not contact the container, thus eliminating wear, reducing maintenance, and giving the device long term stability.
bulletQuick and Easy Change-overs
Up to 6 different container types may be stored in the system’s memory, thus minimizing production line downtime for change-overs.

The FS-80 IP improves final product quality on lines filling containers under vacuum or pressure, including nitrogen dosed cans. This system reliably detects low vacuum or pressure at speeds up to 1,300 bottles or 2,000 cans per minute. All caps or lids must be steel or a ferrous based material.

It is available as a free-standing system or may be easily interfaced with a Filtec Fill Level Inspection System. A retrofit kit is also available for existing Filtec inspection systems.

An electromagnetic sensor mounted above the containers to be inspected transmits a signal to the computer. The computer "digitally maps" the contour of the caps or lids as the containers pass under the sensor. The "mapped" profiles are then analyzed by the computer algorithms to determine if the containers are properly sealed.
