Industrial Dynamics’ new Sonic Empty or Full Crate Inspector utilizes a Sonic Reflex Sensor mounted over each crate row. As the crates move under the sensor array, the total interior contour of the crate is mapped into memory. This mapped contour is compared against a standard contour that has been established by scanning good crates. If the two contour patterns don’t match, the crate is rejected.
