Bottle Handling
The starwheel bottle handling system provides precise bottle handling in even the most demanding circumstances. It holds each bottle firmly and positively through each inspection station, the integrated failsafe rejector all the way to the exit sensor ensuring that bottles are appropriately rejected. The starwheel system can handle bottles with damaged or missing necks and with a wide variation in bottle size, eliminating the need for an in-feed check in all but the rarest of instances.
The starwheel system can also handle situations where the bottles are backed-up from the filler, eliminating the need for out-feed protection and allowing it to operate in close proximity to the filler.
The unique features of the Omnivision II allow it to operate with uneven bottle floats, at speeds up to 84,000 bottles per hour. It requires very little overall line space, less than one third of that used by competitive machines. The Omni II is ideally suited for plastic refillable bottles. Unlike belt carry systems, the patented starwheel vacuum system exerts no pressure on the bottles and, thus, is ideal for handling unstable empty plastic containers. |
