Specifications

The Omnivision II provides empty bottle inspecting with optimal detection of faults and contamination with a minimal false reject rate at speeds up to 84,000 containers per hour with detection reliability of 99.9 percent when doing empty bottle inspecting on standard glass bottles.

Empty bottle inspecting provides detection of chips and cracks on sidewalls, finishes and threads; mold, debris, foreign objects, and contamination on the base or sidewall; residual liquids and caustic.

Items detected include wire, clear film from cigarette packs, cigarette filters, razor blades, drinking straws, crown cork, condoms, hypodermic needles, tamper proof rings and crumpled paper among others.

The false reject rate will vary depending on the empty bottle inspecting systems in place and the condition of the bottle float. When providing basic empty bottle inspecting on standard glass bottles, the false reject rate is less than 0.01 percent of the bottles processed.

The test bottle program verifies that all inspection and rejection systems are functioning properly.
